Marian Hanel wraps up 31 years of awesomeness helping customers with claims

We are thrilled to announce the retirement of a wonderful, and much beloved employee, Marian Hanel, at 88 years old. Yes, you heard that right. Marian has been working hard right up to her 88th birthday! She has decided to lay down her pen, give her keyboard a rest, hang up the phone, slide her chair beneath her desk. Marian will be kicking back and enjoying a well-deserved retirement.

As one of the youngest 88 year olds you will ever meet, she has been a beloved part of the team at Al Bourdeau Insurance Agency for the past 31 years.  She always has a smile for everyone and a sympathetic ear for each customer as she works with them through the important steps of placing a claim on their insurance. Marian has a great sense of humor, and serves as an example to all of us in her kindness and sincerity. She has never had a bad thing to say about anybody. The entire staff love Marian dearly and will miss her immensely.  We wish her the happiest retirement anyone has every enjoyed.

Without risk, there are no rewards. But when taking risks, it's important to ask "is it worth it?" Most of us are not good at evaluating risk. That's why I love insurance. When you get it, you realize that you have a tool for making choices. We can put ourselves out there, enjoy life and strive for personal and financial growth. When we fail, insurance gives us a way to recover financially, and we learn to be better. I'm a lifelong student with degrees in mathematics and computer science, a licensed insurance producer, and hold professional insurance designations including CPCU, CIC, and CRM.I enjoy distance running, bicycling, craft beers, cool people, and taking risks.
